Part 1

Education

  • Teachers should teach proper handwashing and sanitation habits

  • Students should be informed about the virus and the spread of germs

  • Students should receive daily reminders and updates

  • Students should learn how to properly cover their mouths and prevent spreading their germs.

Sanitation

  • Students should take their temperature before coming to school. If they have a temperature of 100℉ or above, they should stay home.

  • An alternative is taking temperatures at the door before entering school every day, but this would be expensive.

  • Some students may not have the resources to do this at home.

  • There should be hand sanitizer and disinfectant in every classroom.

  • Students can bring their own, if possible, and clean up their space before and after each class.

  • Classrooms should be wiped down/sanitized in between classes and at the end of every school day.

  • Students should wear face masks when entering and leaving the school, as well as when switching classes. Students can have the option of wearing face masks during class, but that will not be necessary if students are spaced out correctly during instructional time.

  • Teachers may also implement their own sanitation rules and precautions.
