What has the financial impact COVID-19 been on the local business since March 15, 2020?

What are the ways the business has responded, pivoted/innovated to stay in business?

Response

Starting from March 15th of 2020, Starbucks has been easing down on business from the time coronavirus hit, because of the lack of clientele. From some point on down the line, they closed temporarily for a little bit when Covid got worse

Starbucks was unable to stay in business because of COVID-19 due to the nature of the stores needing physical contact to make the drinks and the lack of a drive-thru in most locations.

What has the local community support/initiatives response been to date?

The community helped step in by preventing unnecessary traveling outside their homes except for necessities, wearing masks for the duration of time they are near people, as well as social distancing. But for the majority of the COVID duration, Starbucks has remained closed.

What impact has COVID-19 owners, employees & families (personally)?

Speaking to one of the representatives at Starbucks, the company has been seriously affected by Covid, as a lot of employees throughout different store locations have lost their jobs due to the pandemic. And since it is a company that is widespread and used often, there was a much higher chance of people getting infected throughout day-to-day operations.

What has the business done to protect employees from COVID-19 and how has that process changed?

No steps were taken because most if not all locations were closed during the duration of the quarantine.
